Bio

Since 1983 I have devoted myself to making art.

Initially I worked mainly in oil paint and cut paper collage. Later I moved into painting exclusively in watercolor and gouache which are the media I continue to use today because I am continually fascinated by the subtle nuances these media can have as color builds up in a painting.

My subject matter is inspired by the seasons and the memories of gardens, streets, towns, and cities that I've visited while traveling and from daily life experiences.

I earned a Dean's List Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, and a Master of Fine Arts in graphic design from Boston University School for The Arts.  I have exhibited at art events and galleries in the Northeast and my work is in many private collections.
